At Al-Noor, we believe your spiritual journey is deeply personal. Our app is designed to be a sanctuary, completely free from invasive trackers, advertising networks, and data brokers. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information under any circumstances.

2. Data We Collect

To provide you with personalized prayer times, reflection logs, and AI companionship, we only collect the minimum required data. This includes your location/timezone for accurate Salah times, and your encrypted reflection logs that are only accessible by you.

3. Local Storage & Security

Whenever possible, your data—including your journal entries, memorization progress, and interaction history with Al-Noor AI—is stored locally on your device or secured using industry-standard encryption when synced to the cloud. Your sanctuary belongs to you.

4. Location Data for Prayer Times

To calculate highly accurate, real-time local prayer times (Salah) and schedule offline Adhan notifications, Al-Noor requests access to your device's location. This location data is processed locally on your device and is never tracked, stored on our servers, or shared with third parties.

5. AI Processing (Al-Noor AI)

When you use the Al-Noor AI companion or "Ask About My Day" features, your text inputs are sent securely to our AI providers to generate Quranic reflections and Duas. These inputs are strictly used for generating your personal response and are never used to train public AI models.
